A Poetic Bonbon For Tolerant Sleuths

Like a dog with a favorite bone, I would like to gnaw a bit longer on the primary subject of the last two entries. I alluded long ago to what I perceive to be the chief perpetrator of malicious mental attacks against the Christian Science Church and Christian Scientists. I have whipped up a hasty, and probably tasteless, confection in which lies an unambiguous clue to the source I sense of the evil. Of course, I could be as misdirected as Wrong-Way Corrigan (I hope I am not going to get thrown for a big loss on the name.), but I have sound reasons, sound to me at any rate, for my convictions. If I am correct or on a valid scent it is not a threat to be, or to have been, frivolously dismissed. Why not just come out with it and quit playing games? Every playful and silly dog must have his romp I guess, or perhaps to give the fortunate readers of this entry the thrill of a chase or a chance to wrestle with, or at least kick around, their own suspicions, assuming they have any--or care at all about this Sherlockian enterprise.

A lidless stare, the serpent does not blink.
Mit schlag of Christly seemingness, it lies.
Do servants watch and scour each hidden chink?
Get wise to secret snares and crush these spies.

Love this, Christian. Am going to read it through again, to get all you have given.

What fun! A poem from you (which I've been wanting) and a Sherlockian exercise. (I know who one of those "spies" is!)

Back very soon, and with a most interesting blog post. No one can say they're bored reading you, Christian.

Enjoyed this entry. And as to what you were driving at in your last two blog postings, one can't be a practitioner in the New England area as I am and not know precisely what you are warning your readers about.

"Mitt schlag of Christliness seemingness" -- ooh, this is good!

You do have a way with words, and this blog post is downright fascinating. (In a good way, that is.)
Doesn't hurt to make your readers think, now and then, does it?

Neat blog post! And what will help us get wise to hidden snares and spies? Claiming no other Mind but God's. He will see to it that we know what we need to know, to stay secure ourselves, and to do work effectively for this religion we love.

Clever, I must say!

Like your poetic bonbon. It's interesting that people will visit your website, not out of support for all you are doing to enlighten the Field, but to report to "others" what's going on. But hey, this goes with the Internet. And such may even get a blessing from what you are sharing.

I support your blog, Christian. In fact, I along with others I know pray everyday for its continued success. We need it!

Can you genuinely honor Mary Baker Eddy with a concept named "the broken net" ? I am not a spy or a Boston toady. I think you may have started out with a good idea but after reading most of your articles , you seem arrogant to me.

I won't be back to your blog. The Bible will give all who rigteously seek the Lord the light they need. Science and Health will elucidate the search.
The Christ will heal your "Zoro issues" and then your dittohead followers may not be wasting their time.

Adios

Keep blogging, blogger. And I am certain you will. You are doing so much good, more than you probably know.

That your blog is God-supported is clearly the case. You could not have weathered the obvious attempts, especially the silent "work" that has gone on against The Broken Net, without His sustaining power.
Have at it, Christian...

Of course, I can't say for certain, not knowing the identity of her or him called Christian, but the following from Miscellanous Writings may be what started this blog off.
"At times, your net has been so full that it broke; human pride, creeping into its meshes, extended it beyond safe expansion; then, losing hold of divine Love, you lost your fishes,..."
Perhaps this will solve this mystery.

Nice poem, Christian. Good start of a sonnet, so how about the remaining 10 lines?

Wow this post is really "inside baseball" stuff. I have no clue what it was talking about.
